José Brás dos Santos

 

Academic Qualifications: PhD in Business Management and European Doctor, University of Seville, Spain (2009). Diploma of Advanced Studies in Business and Marketing Management, University of Seville (2005). Graduated in Organization and Business Management, Modern University, Portugal (2001).

 

Main research areas: Entrepreneurship; Business Strategy; Organizational and Individual Performance; Performance Appraisal; Intellectual Capital and Knowledge Management.

Academic and professional experience: Senior manager in a local public authority of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (2002 - present), currently performing internal audit functions; professor at the Autonomous University of Lisbon (2009 - present) where he has taught several courses in Management , professor at IADE U-University Institute (2012 - present) which is regent of the course Research Methodology at the Master's Degree in Marketing. Was Invited Assistant at the Institute Jean Piaget - Campus Almada (2002-2007). Previously he held several management functions, with emphasis on the areas of Marketing, Strategic Planning and Controlling, most of them in a prestigious German multinational (1986-2000). In terms of research is Invited Researcher at the University of Seville (2010 - present), where works in research projects related to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs. Co-editor of the journal African Journal of Business Management (2010 - Actuality), scientific anonymous reviewer of the Journal of International Entrepreneurship (2008 - Actuality), scientific anonymous reviewer at the Luso-Spanish Conferences in Scientific Management (2009 - Actuality), author and co-author of several scientific articles, supervisor of master dissertations and doctoral theses.
