Assistant Professor, History Department, at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, where teaches History of Religions and History of the Ancient Middle East.


Professor / researcher for the Maghreb and Middle East, CEI-IUL, ISCTE-IUL, INDEGIUL, IPPS-ISCTE, 2014-2018.


PhD in History and Culture of the Ancient Middle East, by FCSH-UNL, Master in Societies Cultures and Pre-Classical Civilizations by FL-UL, with traineeships at UCLA, University of Basel and American University in Cairo, having had FCT research grants , Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and FLAD.


Coordinator and director of the CASA ÁRABE project, ISCTE-IUL, 2013-2018, dedicated to the study, research and dissemination of the countries of North Africa and the Middle East, highlighting the following activities: Cultural and Economic Weeks, Conference Cycles, Exhibitions on politics, culture and economics of the countries from North Africa and Middle East, as well as Literature and Politics Courses dedicated to this region.


Author of books, chapters of books and scientific articles, from Da Primavera ao Inverno Árabe, Temas e Debates, Círculo de Leitores, 2013, and Internacionalização da Economia Portuguesa, Temas e Debates, Círculo de Leitores, 2017. She is currently preparing Negociação em Ambientes Culturais Distintos que deverá ser publicado em 2020.
