Assistant Professor at University Autónoma of Lisbon and guest lecturer in the advanced course on “China and Portuguese Speaking Countries” at University of Coimbra. Research fellow at OBSERVARE-Observatory of Foreign Relations at UAL and Associate fellow at IPRI – Instituto Português de Relações Internacionais NOVA University of Lisbon.
Post-doctoral fellow at IPRI-NOVA between 2016 and 2019. He holds a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Free University of Berlin and Fudan University of Shanghai (2015). Daniel earned his Master’s degree in International Relations from University of Coimbra (2009). His research interests revolve around public policy analysis, domestic actors and institutions in foreign policy, multilevel and network governance, foreign Policy of Brazil, China and the European Union.
He has authored and co-authored several articles in indexed peer-reviewed scientific journals and chapters in national and international edited books.
