The absence of justice, in its diverse forms, is not conducive to safe environments and, in the end, does not promote peaceful societies.
At this conference, we intend to explore the concepts, techniques and tools for Conflict Management and Resolution, highlighting their limitations and strengths. The conference will focus on violent and non-violent conflicts with the potential of destabilizing security, both among and within countries, exploring their power and interest issues.
The conference is organized around thematic panels on conflicts in the regional areas of Africa, Greater Middle East and other regional areas and on the theoretical aspects of conflict resolution and peace studies.
The articles presented at the conference will be considered for publication in one of two formats: at the journal JANUS.NET, e-journal of International Relations (bilingual, open access, SCOPUS) or in a book published by UAL/OBSERVARE.
Presentations can be submitted in Portuguese or English.
